Corona virus information: there is a lot of misinformation and fear around this outbreak of one strain of the Corona-virus. Please be careful about where you are getting your information from, and what information you spread (even in the form of jokes or memes).
Some reliable places to get information are:
- ISD Letter: This was sent out by the Issaquah School District, and contains both general information about COVID-19 as well as more specific information about how the district is handling it
- World Health Organization FAQ: This is a great overview of the answers to common questions
- King County: Specific information about how this is effecting King County
- The CDC: More general information about the virus, symptoms, and other risk factors
- WHO-China Joint Mission Report: This provides much more detailed information, though with a more scientific vocabulary (i.e. not a high school reading level). If you or your parents want in-depth, up-to-date information about COVID-19 in china and as it spread to the world, look here

FLEX Time Information |
Use the calendar below to determine which FLEX time offerings will be most helpful to you! Remember: you can change your sign ups until Monday morning! Be proactive, and choose the best location as soon as you can!
|
In general, I offer 2 options for flex time:
|
|
Making up and retaking a quiz are different. You may use either day to make up a test you missed, but only Tuesday to retake a quiz. You also do not need to fill out a retake form to make up a quiz, but do have to if you are retaking it!
A general note: please do not default to your first period class!!!!! Flex time is intended as a productive time for students to get support when and where they need it: if you default to your first period, you are taking that seat away from a student who needs it! If you want to be in your first period class, choose it on purpose. If you are not concerned about any of your classes in particular, choose ones that are offering quiet work time, and get your homework done.

How to Find and Contact Ms. Grant
Students are encouraged to contact me through email with any questions or concerns. There are two reasons I would like to hear from the students directly:
- Self-advocacy is an extremely valuable life skill, and emailing teachers directly is a fabulous way for students to practice.
- Emails are a permanent record of appointments and meetings, and allow me to keep track of my schedule

Emailing Ms Grant for Extra Help:
Email is a great way to reach out for support! It is also a necessary skill to be able to email people of authority (teachers, professors, managers, coworkers) and ask for something in a respectful, professional way.
Before emailing me, be sure you can answer these questions:
